The Twin Cities have made winter a bit more bearable with covered pedestrian passageways traversing busy roads. This one connects two buildings on the Metro State campus just up the bluff from downtown St. Paul.
There were none of those when I lived in the Minneapolis area. Of course, that was during the Stone Age. But we had to tough it out. I remember walking miles through the snow to get to my classes at the U of M!

If you goggle skyways for either St. Paul and Msp, you'll find that we have MILES of connecting skyway routes. Terrific for this winter!
