Park here

If you've been to the State Fair you may recognize one of the signs that help you find your way back to your car. It's not an easy job. Post #4 for this week's theme. You probably have it by now.

Kome in for a kone

With our recent summery weather I can't help longing for a night at the State Fair. This is the last photo for this week's theme. Did you guess what it is? All will be revealed tomorrow.

Aliens

The State Fair may be over for another year but I am still marveling at the nighttime scenes (the best time to be there). Two gondolas of the Skyride (mysteriously ghostlike in this time exposure) glide right by the Ag building, all of them colored like late summer popsicles.

How did you do with last week's theme? We had winner! The correct answer was groups of three - 3 Paris tea towels, 3 riverboats, 3 funky equine bushes, 3 barges (with a break in the middle for ABC Wednesday).

Fantasy foals

These prancers were drawing curious crowds at the Minnesota State Fair a couple of weeks ago. Wouldn't it be fun to have them growing in your front yard? We're back to the mystery theme today - Monday was the Paris tea towels, Tuesday the riverboats, now this. What's your best guess?

Sleeping off the fair

Is this how you feel at the end of the day at the Minnesota State Fair? Do you know where Snoopy is on the fairgrounds?

Paddlin' nowhere

Post # 2 for this week's theme taken on the State Fair grounds recently when I had an assignment for a photo class to shoot feet. Managed to get both the feet of the duck carved from tree and the feet of the carousel pony painted on the side of a building. But "feet" is not this week's theme.

Count down to the State Fair

In a few weeks this picture will be impossible to take. Hundreds of thousands of people will be obscuring the view from the tree sculpture across the lawn to...  help me here, Minnesotans...  isn't this the building that houses the armed services displays?
