Theme day: Under construction

This section of University Avenue between Fairview and Raymond in St. Paul is the longest stretch without a light rail stop. The Central Corridor project will connect downtown St. Paul with downtown Minneapolis via the University of Minnesota. It'll be a while though so pedestrians need to find alternate street crossings.

There is a great deal of differences of opinion re. this light rail structure. The obstruction of the construction is enormous, but hope that it is worth it in the end.

My link to the portal for theme day photos does not work, hope you visit me anyway. That darn computer-voodoo is at work again!

Cannot WAIT until the construction is done! I live near here and it's been wretched with all the closed roads and extra traffic. I forget how blessedly construction free our fair city is until it is choked with it like it is now. In addition to this, downtown is all torn up as well. ARG!
